Anton got me a sewing machine for his graduation. It was pretty sweet. It is way fun to use, but I have no idea how to read a pattern. I can actually read the words, but it's just a bunch of gibberish to me. So I just make up my own patterns. They aren't spectacular and usually hideous. But I do it anyway. I usually give my "creations" as gifts and I don't have to keep them. But we needed a shower curtain, which is what this is (incase it is nebulous to anyone).
So how do you read a pattern?

Hey I think you did a pretty good job! I don't even have a thread and needle to sew on a button. Cute shower curtain. Do you take orders? :)
Wow Sydney- your curtain creation looks awesome. Would you be up for a picnic at the park sometime this week? We could meet up in Preston and try and get whoever is around too. Here's my email- emilyhuff@gmail.com or phone- 770-5669.
Oh I think it looks great. I wish I knew how to sew! Maybe I'll take lessons - it's one of those things that you wish you would have learned when your mom was trying to teach it to you.
You've got talent. The curtain looks pretty. Something I have never learned to do. Craig's mom has to mend his pants when he rips them. Isn't that sad? I guess I won't learn any younger. I do know how to sew a hole in a sock.
Russell is coming up on 3 years in November. I can't wait to see everyone at the park on Friday. It will be fun to finally get together again. See ya then.
